Domestic Terminal of Cochin International Airport is an unique of its kind as per the services meted out to the passengers who travels regularly on domestic flights to Cochin and from there goes back to other destinations of the country. Instead they want to stay at the airport guest rooms with some paltry charges, which vary from time to time. The maximum time of usage of the airport guest rooms is for a period of 24 hours. Later on the passengers have to vacate. Pre-paid taxi operators do the booking for any city hotel provided on reproduction of flight tickets.
There are pre-paid taxis available round the clock for 24 hours. They are fully computerized and management is under the control of Cochin International Airport Limited. The pre-paid taxis are ready to move to any destination and the fares paid are totally on the basis of distances covered. The types of transports available from the airport are ordinary ambassador, air conditioned vehicles of any types, Tata Sumo and Qualis. The pre-paid transport is controlled on a co-operative basis and management remains the same by the CIAL.
In the domestic terminal there is a special privilege for the passengers provided for the domestic passengers. There is a tourism counter, run by the State Tourism Department, offers various facilities to the tourist for visiting the places of interest in and around Cochin city. Some of these are:
